1. Information We Collect
When you submit a statement of support through the DOEL Pledge website, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- City
- State
- ZIP code
- Organization name, if provided
- Comment or statement, if provided
- Signature
- Date and time of submission
We may also collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the website.
2. How We Use Submitted Information
Information submitted through the pledge form may be used to:
- Record statements of support for the proposed Department of Economic Liberty and National Economic Liberty Fund.
- Maintain the DOEL supporter registry.
- Verify and protect the integrity of submissions.
- Prevent spam, abuse, fraud, or unauthorized submissions.
- Communicate with individuals when reasonably necessary regarding their submission.
- Understand general geographic or organizational participation in the proposal.
- Improve the website and its submission process.
3. Public Display of Information
Information submitted through the pledge form is not automatically considered public simply because it was submitted.
Unless otherwise stated at the time information is collected, personal information such as an individual's email address, residential ZIP code, or other contact information will not be intentionally published as part of a public supporter list.
If a public supporter registry or other public presentation of supporters is introduced, the information displayed and the applicable privacy practices will be clearly identified.
4. Email Communications
An email address provided through the pledge form may be used to communicate with you regarding your submission, the DOEL proposal, website administration, or related matters.
We do not intend to use submitted email addresses for unrelated commercial marketing purposes without appropriate notice or consent.

We do not sell submitted personal information.
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to:

6. Data Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information submitted through the website.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. Data Retention
Submitted pledge information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer and document the DOEL Pledge initiative. The supporter registry is intended to remain active through the period in which the proposed Department of Economic Liberty and National Economic Liberty Fund is presented for consideration by Congress and until Congress has acted on the proposal. Following the conclusion of that process, personal information collected through the pledge registry will be reviewed for deletion and will not be retained indefinitely, except where a limited retention period is reasonably necessary to satisfy legal, security, accounting, or other applicable obligations. If the DOEL Pledge initiative is discontinued before congressional action, the information will likewise be reviewed for deletion rather than maintained indefinitely. Aggregate or non-identifying information, such as the total number of pledges received or general participation statistics, may be retained after the pledge registry is closed because such information does not identify individual supporters.
8. Requests to Review or Remove Information
Individuals who have submitted a pledge may request access to, correction of, or removal of their submitted personal information, subject to applicable legal and administrative requirements.
Requests should include enough information to reasonably identify the applicable submission and verify that the requester is the individual associated with that submission.

10. Third-Party Services
The website may rely on third-party hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, communications, or other technical services. Such providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services.
Where applicable, third-party services may maintain their own privacy policies governing information they process.
11. Children's Privacy
The DOEL Pledge website is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the website, please contact us so the information can be reviewed and, where appropriate, removed.
